For the trip to the lake Vissivière, we were told to be at the train station by 9h30 and wear comfortable clothes, jogging stuff, etc.
So I dress like this:
Gotta represent the American Whovians!
I get to the train station and EVERYONE is wearing denim. Wtf guys. Well anyways, we get on the train and are on our way. From there, we find out we have to get on a bus to take us to the parking lot before we reach the lake and the island in the middle of it.
About this point, we realize that it's super windy and COLD at the lake. I didn't bring anything, so one of the guys offers me his pullover sweater. He saved me, because I seriously was going to freeze to death.
So we're hanging out and all of the sudden we're split into two groups, given a work packet of sorts, and one person is given a GPS. We now have to put in coordinates and find the places the description asks for.
Time for adventure... At least it was pretty though!

I love mossy stone walls.
So apparently the trail around the island is FILLED with art!
So the next one had us going UP. Like, not a gentle slope. Just to find a giant slab of granite.
Fortunately from there it was downhill.
Until we get to the end, which took us where we started. And then we climbed up a tower!
Now it was time to find the boat and go to the "beach" side of the lake.
On this side, there was a Viking play ship. This sparked a grand plan throughout the day that Hunter, Candice and I were going to become vikings on the lake. I haven't had that much fun creating a plan like that in a long time. Our flag was going to be an otter because earlier in the day, us Americans were trying to explain what an otter was because none of us knew the word for it in French. We tried explaining it, Candice did an impersonation, and I tried drawing one (not very well, mind you). They just could not figure it out!
Anyways, after hanging out, eating lunch and playing "boules" or "pétanque," which is another word for bocce ball, we took the boat back over.
From there, we waited for the bus. We got crêpes (I was special and got chantilly, aka whipped cream), and I got ORANGINA! The best bubbly non-alcoholic dream ever created..
That was a bit of an exaggeration, but it is still one of my top favorite 'sodas.'
Mmmmmm nutella et chantilly!
It came in a special Orangina cup!!
There was also some military action going on.
From the bus we got on the train and headed back. Poor Candice gets motion sick worse than I do, and had a hard time on the way to Limoges. :(

Back in Limoges, we were pretty hungry. Our choice for eating out in France? Chinese buffet.
I did try fried frog legs. Super bony.
Afterwards we tried getting a bus, but apparently the one we wanted stopped running at 8. Laaaaaaaaame.
So we walked home and I thought I was going to die from the blisters on my feet.
