Porcelaine and a Productive Day (29 août)

My first Friday here, I went to look at some art. Hee hee, First Friday? Get it?

Ahem.

Anyways, Candice found out about a big porcelain exposé, and Limoges is known for their porcelaine! This obviously meant that we needed to check it out.

These were just at the entrance! Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but it was just absolutely breathtaking what people can do.

Also, they had a vase that was commissioned by Disney for the animated movie Hercules! I'm not saying it was cooler than anything else in the exhibit, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

And outside was kind of cool because the flower beds were covered in porcelaine pieces.

After that, we decided to go to the public library and get library cards!

But they were still closed, so I stood in line for my bus pass instead. The bus pass line is ridiculously long, by the way. I don't know if everyone's expired around this time last year or what, but it was pretty insane. And the sun was just baking us.

By the time I got my year-long pass (Yay!), the library was open! So I also got my library card. :)

No offense to the library, but all I really wanted at that time was air conditioning and wifi. They had both.

Bus pass! Woo!

Disgusting Quasimodo toe. Stupid shoes.
When we got back, I relaxed for a bit and then once again needed to go to the grocery store. This is what happens when you have a tiny fridge and also no car, so you can only bring what you can carry. But I finally felt more like I was staying here for a longer period and not just like a weekend vacation kind of thing.

The Hyper U had a pack of yogurts and I actually love all of the flavors!
This has never happened to me before!

Also, the French healthy obsession with apricots has benefited me once again.

APRICOT YOGURT! My life is complete.
At home I had to make my own Apricot "yogurt" with plan greek yogurt and some apricot jam (thank you Sarah).
