I went for the first time on Wednesday since Matt and Lyndsie had just got there and didn't have any food with them.
So with your meal you get a piece of bread, an appetizer (usually some tomato slices or orange slices..or weird things like cold tuna and garlic potatoes), a dairy item (yogurt or piece of cheese), and the main plate of food. I think you can also get fruit.. or mix-and-match? I haven't quite figured it out because they usually are out of one before I get there.
But holy crap, they just pile the food on!
Wednesday I had du poisson et des épinards (fish and spinach). AND A KIWI! I was super excited by the fruit choices.
The fish was cooked in a delicious cream sauce, and the spinach was...creamed? It's hard to explain, but I CANNOT WAIT for them to serve it again!
I was so excited and so hungry that I forgot to take a picture. The other options were some sausages or some sort of vegetable quiche. Candice got the quiche, and it was pretty delicious too.
But holy crap, they just pile the food on!
Thursday was cheeseburgers! LOOK AT ALL THOSE FRIES. And that strange appetizer. Cold tuna and garlic potatoes.
I don't know what was on it, but I don't really care. Everything tastes better in France.
Cold tuna and garlic potatoes. Surprisingly delicious!
Friday I was able to get fish and potatoes. Nom.
Fish and potatoes. When mixed, it reminded me of clam chowder.
I always take my fruit/yogurt with me for a snack the next day. I think I might start bringing Tupperware containers so I can take leftovers for lunch at school, and maybe keep the bread and buy eggs to make french toast. Mmmm gotta love some pain perdu!
xx
